Turmeric and ginger immunity shots are a healthy and delicious way to support your immune system. These antioxidant and anti-inflammatory-packed shots can help you feel your best!

Immunity Shots: Turmeric and Ginger

CATEGORY: Gluten-Free | Vegan

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pineapple diced

  • 1 pack of turmeric root (usually comes out to about the same amount, 1 or a few of these pieces)

  • 1 pack of ginger root (about the same amount as turmeric)

  • 1 lemon peeled

  • pinch of cracked black pepper to taste (this activates the turmeric, I usually add more than a pinch because I like when It's really spicy!)

DIRECTIONS

1. Thoroughly wash ginger and turmeric root (I don't think peeling them Is necessary as long as you wash them well)

2. Combine ingredients in Vitamix (or high power) blender & blend until smooth, make sure ginger and turmeric are fully blended

3. Strain pulp out with a large strainer into another bowl or glass. I like to use a big pyrex measuring glass. Get as much liquid out as possible. I usually use a spoon to push the liquid through the strainer.

4. Enjoy!!

1. Most beneficial when taken on an empty stomach to absorb the maximum amount of beneficial properties.

2. Experiment with how it makes you feel. I avoid taking this before bed because it tends to give me acid reflux when I lay down soon after taking it. Morning is the best time of day if possible.

3. Experiment with different amounts of turmeric and ginger. Sometimes I add extra ginger If I want it to be really spicy and am REALLY trying not to get sick.
